On a cold day in March 2016, a great wedding and reception took place in Springfield, Ohio. The days started with wedding prep at a downtown Springfield hotel. After some soft, subtle bridal images of the bride getting ready, we all made our way to Buck Creek State Park. In low forty degree temps, we spent an hour on the Buck Creek State Park dam photographing formal wedding photos. One of my favorite groom and groomsmen photos ever is the men standing in a “v” formation facing the camera. The leading lines at the front of the image converge behind the groomsmen to give an interesting perspective to this image.
Upon completion of the awesome bridal portraits and bridal party photos, we made our way to the Bushnell Banquet Center in the basement of a historic downtown Springfield Ohio building. The entrance to this reception venue feels as if you are entering a subway station. I loved it! The reception went well, and everyone had fun. As a Dayton photographer, I hope to photograph other Springfield Ohio weddings at this venue!
