Planning An Engagement Session In Cincinnati And Dayton

Engagement Session Planning Tips

Being a Cincinnati engagement photographer means knowing Cincinnati engagement locations and being prepared for every circumstance.   Knowing an engagement session location prior to the photo shoot is not required but is helpful.  For out of town venues, it is especially important to do location scouting online.  Using Google Street View and Google Images provides a great starting point.  Be sure to check operating hours to ensure the venue or location is open.  Checking for permit requirements is also very important.  Being a high-end Cincinnati wedding photographer means I have a great deal of experience planning and executing Cincinnati engagement session.

Below is from a recent trip to Newport Aquarium and Newport On The Levee in Newport, Kentucky.  The photos show possible backdrops and areas for engagement photos or possibly wedding photos.

There are garage doors with large glass panels, overhead string lights, planters, fences, bridges, the Ohio River and downtown Cincinnati that can be used for photographs.  Using just the items in the photos below would result in dozens and dozens of interesting, Cincinnati / Newport themed engagement photos.

Bonus tip 1: Carry cash in case the parking garage or surface lot doesn't take credit.
Bonus tip 2: Always leave extra early to ensure you are never late to an event.
