Photographing Engagements And Weddings At The Banks And Montgomery Inn Boathouse

Cincy Wedding Photo Ideas

On many occasions since becoming a professional Cincinnati photographer, I have utilized The Banks as a backdrop for Cincinnati wedding photos and Cincinnati engagement photos.  The Roebling Suspension Bridge, Great American Ball Park, Smale Riverfront Park and all of the businesses at The Banks give Cincinnati photographers numerous choices to make great images.

One of my wedding couples in 2016 had spring engagement photos at The Banks, Smale Riverfront Park, and Roebling Suspension Bridge.  The images were stunning and were complemented by having Great American Ball Park in the background.  For their formal wedding photos, we left Eden park and once again headed to The Banks with the bridal party. We took dozens of posed and unposed wedding photos on the west side of GABP and then walked over to the suspension bridge connecting Cincinnati, Ohio and Covington, Kentucky.  I was able to create several beautiful and creative wedding images using various posing techniques in front of these icons backdrops.

Immediately following the formal photos by the Ohio River, we headed to Montgomery Inn Boathouse just east of downtown Cincinnati.  The food is always excellent at this Cincinnati icon overlooking the Ohio River and the Big Mac Bridge.  The reception inside was lovely, and we were able to use the river and bridge as backgrounds for this one of a kind wedding reception.  The couple was great and the venue was somewhere I've never photographed.  It was a great day for a Cincinnati wedding and for this Cincinnati photographer.

If you are a Cincinnati Reds fan, consider having your wedding and or reception in downtown. A Great American Ball Park wedding / Great American Ballpark Wedding cannot be beaten for baseball fans.

Testimonial Review Update After The Wedding: "We had an intimate wedding in Eden Park in Cincinnati, OH. Kevin did a absolutely wonderful job catching all the moments you are going to want to remember. Your wedding day seems like a blur after it is all over, but being able to go through the over 1000+ photos Kevin took, brought back all the memories. He did a beautiful job catching all the candid moments, which turned out to be some of our favorite pictures. He got a huge amount of photos in a smaller time frame, he is very quick on pose/location ideas. Kevin is a very talented photographer, and I highly recommend him for any wedding. Just look at his website and you'll be amazed! We could not be happier with both our engagement AND wedding photos!!!" - Melanie Y.
