For my 2 day trip into the city (Manhattan), I chose to stay in Times Square, as my favorite hotel, The Knickerbocker Hotel is located there. This hotel is high-class and expensive, but the central location and quality of everything at the hotel cannot be beaten. The staff is excellent, and I love photographing the property! Give it a shot next time you visit New York City! Find it at 42nd Street and Broadway. New York City travel photos are incredibly fun for me to create.

Every few years I decide to take a weekend trip to New York City to create amazing images for my portfolio marketing. August 2019 was my most recent trip, and I was extremely happy with the various photo ideas I came up with. Since I have been to NYC three other times, I spent a lot of time on this trip finding new and interesting locations that would be beautiful for use as wedding photography locations and engagement photo spots in NYC.

Creating New York City Travel Photos From The Water

I spent the entire time in Manhattan except for a 2.5-hour Circle Line Tour called “Best of NYC Cruise.” This $44 cruise departs Pier 83 (42nd Street) at the West Side Highway. The tour encircles Manhattan on the East River and the Hudson River while passing the Freedom Tower, Statue Of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, Upper West Side, Harlem, Upper East Side, The Vessel, and so much more. Taking this cruise will give you unprecedented views of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Roosevelt Island, Governors Island, and Queens.
