Dayton Catholic Wedding Photos And A Stop At A Beer Drive-Thru
On a recent, beautiful autumn afternoon in Dayton, Ohio, this friendly couple tied the knot at Holy Angels Catholic Church on Brown Street. Normally, as a popular wedding photographer in Dayton and Cincinnati, I spend an hour or two photographing the pre-wedding activities (getting ready shots). On this day, I spent a few minutes with the bride and groom just before the ceremony. As usual, Holy Angels came through with a really nice service, and we finished up all the formal photos immediately after.
The church grounds are small and don't provide too many opportunities to make unique wedding photos. However, I asked the bridal party to place themselves in the jungle gym for some hilarious candid shots. When I walked out and saw everyone posing on the jungle gym, I was thrilled with my idea. They took my simple direction and helped me create an absolutely fun image.
Between the Dayton wedding and the Kettering American Legion Post 598 reception, the bridal party stopped for drinks at a University of Dayton parents' weekend party, Warped Wing Brewery, and Shroyer Tavern. After these three stops, I had a wedding photography first occur. The bridal party consisted of several people from out of state, and these guys had never seen a beer, wine, and pop drive-thru. So, we made a stop at the local Kwik-n-Kold in Kettering, Ohio. As a professional photographer specializing in Dayton and Cincinnati weddings, I had never photographed a bridal party in a drive-thru. The images turned out well, and the day was a great success. Dayton Ohio wedding photographers should check out Warped Wing for some unique wedding photography backdrops.
