University of Dayton Wedding Photos UD Flyers
Saturday's wedding, my 149th to date, was a Dayton-centric wedding photography experience for me. The afternoon started out with the bride and bridesmaids prepping in an eleventh floor suite at Dayton's Crowne Plaza hotel at Fifth Street and Jefferson Street. This was the second time I've had the pleasure of photographing wedding day prep at this historic Dayton, Ohio hotel. My favorite parts of this hotel are the lobby, the inside of the elevator doors (textured metal weave) and of course the views of downtown Dayton.
The next stop on this Dayton bride's wedding day was to her former University of Dayton neighborhood house. We stopped for a few front porch photos then made our way to the day's Dayton wedding venue, the University of Dayton's Chapel of the Immaculate Conception. Seeing as the bride and groom were not seeing each other before the ceremony, I spent 15 minutes do formal, posed and candid photos with the bride and bridesmaids. The U.D. Chapel and the north courtyard make for stunning Dayton wedding photos and make me proud to be a Dayton photographer.
The groom was quickly approaching the chapel, so the bridesmaids hid in this two-year-old bridal suite. I took the groom and groomsmen to the south courtyard where we could create fun and unique wedding photography in this beautiful Dayton setting. We spent some time in the shade so as to keep everyone cool in their tuxes. We then spent a few minutes creating traditional groomsmen photos in the north courtyard.
The University of Dayton wedding was beautiful in this recently renovated, LEED certified chapel and was additionally lit by bright sunlight on all sides. The grand exit for the bride and groom proceeded the ceremony and the church photos / posed photos / family photos were completed in the church.
For thirty minutes, I was able to photograph this fun bridal party outside on the beautiful U.D. campus. I was able to capture so many stunning photographs in Dayton, Ohio on this day, that I thought it couldn't get any better. I was wrong! Being one of the top Dayton wedding photographers always has its surprises, and I look forward to the next one.
The reception took place at the Spectrum Flight Deck at University of Dayton Arena. The DJ, Tyler Entertainment kept the party moving and allowed me to capture so many fun, one of a kind wedding images in this entertaining reception venue. I could not have asked for a better day to photograph a wedding in Dayton, Ohio. UD is often part of my Dayton photography and a UD wedding is always beautiful.
